On 02/04/2016, a Mt. Carmel Man was arrested after he fled from the Mt. Carmel Police. David A. Pierce, age 56, of Mt. Carmel is accused of coming up to the Mt. Carmel Police Department and starting a confrontation with police over a citation he received a day earlier. It was reported that Pierce was out of control and caused a disturbance that could be heard across the street.
When Officer’s told Pierce to exit the vehicle he refused and began to drive in a careless manner. MCPD Officer’s pursued Pierce until he reached his residence in the 1100 block of W. 6th Street. When Pierce stopped he fled on foot only to be caught by responding officers.
Pierce was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he is charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, aggravated fleeing/eluding, reckless driving, disobeying a stop sign, and speeding 20 mph over the posted speed limit. Pierce is being held pending the posting of bond.
On 02/01/2016, the Mt. Carmel Police stopped a 2001 Dodge for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was determined the driver, Kimberly F. Windle, age 25, of Xenia, Illinois was under the influence of alcohol. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Timothy O. Allison, age 28, of Olney and with him were his two minor children. Windle and Allison were both arrested after drug paraphernalia was found in the car. Windle was charged with DUI, endangering the life of a child, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Allison was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering the life of a child. The children were turned over to a family member. Allison and Windle are being held in the Wabash County Jail.
On 01/31/2016, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Gerrod Birkla, age 24, of Mt. Carmel on a criminal trespass warrant out of Wabash County. Birkla was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was served the warrant and he is currently being held on a $1,000 cash bond.
On 01/30/2016, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Shannon L. Morrison, age 29, of Mt. Carmel on a felony warrant out of Edwards County. Morrison resisted arrest and was subsequently charged for resisting. Morrison is currently housed in the Wabash County Jail on the Edwards County warrant and on 1 count of resisting.
On 01/29/2016, Mt. Carmel Police arrested 26 year old Cecily K. Cullison of Mt. Carmel after she was accused of striking a female juvenile at the Mt. Carmel City Park. Cullison was arrested and charged with aggravated battery. Cullison is currently being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of bond.
On 01/29/2016, Mt. Carmel Police arrested 19 year old Joshua J.P. Wirth of Mt. Carmel after he is accused of striking an ex-girlfriend and one of her friends during a domestic in the 500 block of N. Division Street. Wirth was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with aggravated domestic battery and battery. Wirth is being held pending the posting of bond.
On 01/29/2016, Mt. Carmel Police arrested 24 year old Domenic Migliarese of Mt. Carmel after he is accused of striking a family member over $10.00. According to the police report, Migliarese gave the family member $10.00 for cigarettes and was upset with the family member returned from the gas station without the cigarettes. The victim advised they used the $10.00 to purchase fuel.
On 01/28/2016, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Jessica D. Cunningham, age 24, of Mt. Carmel after she was observed operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. During the traffic stop it was discovered Cunningham was wanted on a Wabash County warrant. Cunningham was transported to the Wabash County Jail and cited for driving on a suspended registration and served the warrant. Cunningham was held pending the posting of bond.
On 01/27/2016, Mt. Carmel Police observed 50 year old Kenneth D. Martin III of Mt. Carmel operating a motor vehicle. Police knew Martin was wanted on a Wabash County warrant. When police attempted to stop Martin, Martin fled in his vehicle. Martin was caught in the 200 block of Division Street. Martin was arrested on the warrant and was charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and fleeing and alluding a police officer. Martin was held pending the posting of bond.
On 01/24/2016, Mt. Carmel Police arrested 47 year old Deborah D. Dardeen of Mt. Carmel after the vehicle she was a passenger in was stopped by police. Police knew Dardeen was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Dardeen was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was served the warrant and held pending the posting of bond.
On 01/23/2016, three individuals were arrested during a traffic stop. Mt. Carmel Police stopped a 1996 Dodge driven by 54 year old Claimale D. Franklin of Chicago, Illinois. During the course of the stop it was discovered that there were drugs and open alcohol in the vehicle. Franklin was arrested and charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of hypodermic needles. Defendant 2 was identified as 45 year old Jeanette M. Finch of Evansville, Indiana. Finch was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of hypodermic needles. Defendant 3 was identified as Lindsay A.Cargill, age 29, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Cargill was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles, and obstructing justice. Cargill was also wanted on a Posey County (Indiana) warrant. All three subjects were transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond. K-9 Ace and his handler, MCPD SGT. Steve Perry, assisted in the arrest.
On 01/23/2016, Mt. Carmel Police arrested 27 year old Michael L. McGillvray of Mt. Carmel on one count of retail theft. McGillvray is accused of stealing narcotics from CVS. McGillvray was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.
