The Carmi-White County Bulldog basketball team defeated Harrisburg in overtime last night by a final of 53-49 in the opening night of the Carmi-White County Invitational Tournament. Mitchel Edwards led the Bulldogs in scoring with 24 points, Bryce Conner scored 11, Landon Driscoll scored 10, Gavin Holloman scored 4, Tyler Goemaat and Trey Dixon both scored 2. Carmi improves to 14-4 on the season, they will face Mt. Vernon, Indiana on Thursday.
In the other game from the Carmi-White County Invitational Tournament last night, Fairfield defeated Evansville Day School 61-57.

The Carmi-White County girls basketball team defeated Johnston City yesterday in the Eldorado Lady Eagle Classic by a final of 55-47. The Lady Bulldogs will play in the 5th place game Wednesday night at 7:30.
The Bulldog wrestling team held two tournaments at Washington school over the 3-day weekend. On Saturday they hosted the Bulldog Varsity Invitational, Carmi placed 6th out of 13 teams, with Harrisburg winning the tournament, Lawrenceville placed 2nd and Robinson 3rd. Many Bulldogs were medalists in their respective weight classes. Madden Anderson placed 4th, Travor Mason 6th, Matt Wilson 5th, Dylan Ackerman 3rd, Layne Gwaltney 4th, Caleb Seibers 2nd, Jaxon Staton 6th, Isaac King 6th and Nelson Rider 2nd.
Monday they hosted the freshman/sophomore tournament, in which Madden Anderson placed 3rd in the 106 weight class, and Travor Mason placed 3rd in the 113 weight class.
The Bulldog wrestlers will host the Black Diamond Conference championships at CWCHS Wednesday night.
