White County Soil and Water Conservation District’s 74th Annual Meeting will be held Thursday, February 6, at the Floral Hall of the fairgrounds. Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. A free fish dinner will be served at 5:30. A short business meeting will follow. Three Directors will be elected, and awards will be presented to winners of the District’s annual Poster Contest and to the Conservationist of the Year. Numerous door prizes donated by area businesses will be given away. Representatives from the Invenergy White County Solar Energy Center will present information on a project proposed for a solar power generation facility and answer any questions people may have.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend the SWCD Annual Meeting Thursday evening, February 6, at the Floral Hall of the White County fairgrounds. Please note that the meeting and fish fry will be held on Thursday, rather than the traditional Friday evening. Registration begins at 5:00 p.m.
