A 36 year old Crossville woman, Kimberly I. Jones was arrested by the White County Sheriff’s Office Monday night. The White County Sheriff’s Office received information from the Wayne County Sheriff in reference to stolen firearms located in White County. A search warrant was obtained in Wayne County for a residence at 209 N. Allen Street in Crossville.
The White County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the Carmi Police Department, Carmi K-9 unit, and the Wayne County Sheriff’s office served the search warrant at 6:04 pm.
Officers located two long rifles and a backpack containing rifle magazines and ammo. These items were listed on the search warrant and were reported as stolen from Golden Gate which is located in Wayne County.
Also located was a small square glass plate with a white, powdery substance which later tested positive for methamphetamine.
The owner of the residence, Jones, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. She was transported to the White County Jail, where she remains held without bond.
Further charges are anticipated as the investigation is ongoing.
