The Grayville City Council meeting was called to order at 7 P.M. and after approving the consent agenda and Treasurer’s Report, Mayor Thompson gave a brief update on the demolition of properties. He said two properties are scheduled for demolition, but work has not yet been done. The Water Tower Maintenance Contract was tabled. The TIF#2 Developer’s Agreement with McPherson Development for improvements to the Grayville Medical Center premises at 610 N. Court Street. The Excess Flow Valves (Telemetry) for Water Tower Maintenance was tabled. Proposals for Residential Trash Pick-Up Services were received from the city’s current contractor – Republic Services and from Sunrise Sanitation. In asking questions concerning a 20 yard dumpster for emptying the dumpster 52 times in a year, Finance Commissioner David Jordan asked that both companies send pricing for 26 empties per year and with that tabled any decision on the proposals.
The Christmas Parade, originally scheduled for November 30th and cancelled due to rain has now been set for Saturday, December 21st at 6:00 P.M. A request for TIF #1 Funds for Downs Pizza was tabled after the council asked for more detail on the potential eligible costs for the project.
