A 28 year old Mt. Carmel woman, Charlene Read, was sentenced in White County Court Wednesday to 3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by 1 year of Mandatory Supervised Release on a class 3 felony charge of Possession of Methamphetamine. A class 2 felony charge for Use of a Vehicle/Structure/Property to Manufacture or Distribute Meth and a class A misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charge were dismissed. She was arrested on October 31st by Crossville Police Department. Read was represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle. Judge Michael Molt was the presiding judge.
