White County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Crossville Break-In

The White County Sheriff’s Department responded to a break-in and damage to a building at 706 State Street in Crossville Friday morning. Officers contacted the owner Larry Cox and advised him of a broken out window on the building and told him he needed to check to see if anyone had entered it. A similar incident happened across the street recently. Larry told Officers he was not in town at the moment, but would have the building checked soon.

A short time later, Bradley W. Cox notified the White County Sheriff’s Department that the building had been entered. Subjects had busted out a window on the front side of the building where they made entrance. Two cans of black spray paint were located inside that had been used to spray paint the hallway walls. An orange colored screwdriver was located in the hallway that was believed to have been used by the subject or subjects. The spray cans and the screwdriver were collected to check for fingerprints. The investigation continues.
