A 35 year old Newburgh, IN woman, Kendra Lee Luebbehusen, is being held in the White County Jail as of late Sunday evening. White County 911 Dispatch received a call around 10:22 pm in reference to a traffic crash on County Road 600 East, close to County Road 450 North. A White County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived on scene and found a grey van in the ditch and teetering on the end of a culvert. Luebbehusen was lying on the ground near the van on the edge of the roadway. Several bystanders tended to her and supplied her with a coat to stay warm. She told the deputy she was not injured, but EMS was still called to check her out. The Deputy observed full beer cans scattered all over the inside of the van and Lubbehusen smelled of alcohol and was slurring her words. The Deputy administered a series of field sobriety tests, all of which Lubbehusen failed. A portable breath test revealed a breath alcohol content of .183%. She was placed under arrest and taken to the White County Jail for Driving Under the Influence. She is currently being held on $300 bond.
