The council members approved their engineers recommendation of a $205,000 bid from Microcom to authorize Mayor Dick Dietz to execute the contract and related documents for the proposed water system improvements.
After all the details have been worked out with the sewer and water committee, the preliminary engineering report findings will be submitted to the USDA on the sewer system.

A resolution was approved closing and/or rerouting certain State highways and/or City streets for the December 7th City Christmas Parade at 6 PM.

Some board members noted that there is grant money available for various projects, although the grants are not always easy to obtain. Mayor Dietz said to be careful on how they get the grants and how the money is spent.

After a 26 minute executive session, Tyler Wellen was hired for the water department and entered into an employment agreement with Police Chief John Nathan Taylor. Taylor has outside employment and needs to notify the board of any changes.
