Carmi-White County School District Parent-Staff and Community Training Night in collaboration with White County PACE, Thursday, September 26th, 5:30 – 7:00 pm. at Jefferson Attendance Center Gymnasium. The program is titled “The Effects of Stress and Adversity on Youth: Part I.
Dr. Buckman’s presentation will focus on stress and adversity and how this can impact multiple areas of our lives, including our physical and mental health, brain functioning, relationships, and school successes. The presentation will provide an entertaining look at the effects of toxic or high stress on learning and will provide strategies that help support youth under high stress.
