A 28 year old Enfield man will be spending a long time in the Illinois Department of Corrections. In White County Court Wednesday, Judge T. Scott Webb sentenced James E. Steele to 4 years in the Department of Corrections followed by 2 years of Mandatory Supervised Release on a Class 2 Felony of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, along with 4 years in the Department of Corrections and 1 year of Mandatory Supervised Release on a Class 3 Felony of Possession of Methamphetamine, and 86 days in jail plus an order to pay court costs on a Class A Misdemeanor for Violating an Order of Protection. Steele was on First Offender Probation for the methamphetamine offense when he committed the Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Violation of an Order of Protection cases. Consequently, his probation was revoked with the sentences entered Wednesday. Steele was also recommended to participate in the Impact Incarceration Program (“Boot Camp”).
