An Evansville woman is being held in the White County Jail on misdemeanor charges of domestic battery. Saturday evening Carmi Police arrived at 614 Crebbs Avenue in Carmi and arrested 37, Shana L. Axton after she slapped her juvenile daughter and spit in the face of her child’s father. Online sources do not indicate a court date as of yet for Axton. She was already under a two year supervision for a 2018 arrest for driving on a suspended license.
Zachary D. Veatch, 30, of Carmi is being held in the White County Jail following on domestic battery charges. Police were called around 12:27 am, Saturday, to 138 11th Street following a domestic altercation between Rhea and Zachary Veatch. Online sources do not indicate a court date as of yet for Veatch.
