Friday Night Excitement Keeps White County Sheriff’s Office And Carmi Police Busy

An incident report is on record with White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud, but no charges have been filed as of yet. That following a Friday evening domestic battery in Maunie. The law enforcement officer was called to a Crossville residence later after the fight and took a statement from 26 year old Chasity Price. She says her sister, 25 year old Celina Prince of Maunie and herself were involved and their mother, 51 year old Joyce Prince was also privy to the altercation and attempted to intervene. The officer said he would be following up with the other two women to get statements and his investigation report would be filed with the County State’s Attorney.

 

Friday night, around 10:13 PM, Carmi Police responded to a call about an intoxicated individual walking around in the 300 block of Fifth Street in Carmi. Officers found, 45 year old Anessa Barnett of O’Fallon, IL at 502 Elm Street and arrested her for Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass to Propety, and Resisting a Peace Officer. She was taken to the White County Jail where she posted bond and was released.
