Norris City Man Tried To Elude Sheriff’s Deputy, Arrested On Multiple Charges

A Norris City man is behind bars after he tried to outrun the White County Sheriff’s Department Sunday morning. According to the incident report, a Sheriff’s Deputy was called to the Enfield residence of Andrea Stocke. She told the officer that 31 year old Braddon Turrentine was there and refusing to leave. While Stoke said she didn’t want to sign an official complaint, she wanted him to go away. By the time the officer arrived on scene, Turrentine had taken off. She reported to the deputy that Turrentine was driving a red Ford Ranger, which the officer spotted a short time later and began a pursuit with lights and siren activated. After a lengthy chase, Turrentine finally pulled over, was ordered out of the truck at gunpoint, arrested and has been charged with driving while license revoked, fleeing and eluding, possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. In addition, Turrentine had warrants out of White, Saline, and Jefferson Counties. Online records don’t yet indicate an upcoming court date for Turrentine on his latest charges. He remains behind bars as of Monday morning on a total of $6,275 bail.
