Traffic Stop Lands Grayville Man In Jail On Multiple Charges

A traffic stop Friday by Grayville Police turned into several preliminary charges for 30 year old local man, John Kissee.  It was nearing midnight when the report indicates a Grayville officer observed Kissee riding a bicycle on the road near Plum and Fourth Street.  The officer pulled the man over after failing to signal as required when riding on the roadway.  During the stop, the officer asked and received permission to search Kissee’s backpack resulting in the law enforcement officer finding substance and a smoking pipe that would both later test positive for methamphetamine.  In addition, also located on Kissee’s person was a small amount of cannabis and another smoking pipe.  Inside the backpack, the officer also found a loaded .22 caliber handgun with the serial number removed.

Kissee, now behind bars, faces charges of possession of a firearm bya  felon, possession of meth, defacing ID marks of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.
