A reminder from County Clerk Beth Sell. She says folks interested in running for office in 2020 locally can pick up their petitions beginning Tuesday, September 3rd. Local races featured will be Circuit Clerk, Coroner, State’s Attorney, and 3 County Board seats. District 2, 3 and 4 will all be up for grabs.
The first day to file those petitions will be November 25th giving candidates about 2 and a half months to get the required number of signatures. The final day to turn in petitions is December 2nd.
Illinois’ 2020 primary will be held on March 17th.
