We’ve now learned details from yesterday morning’s motor vehicle crash that landed one vehicle on it’s roof. Carmi Police say Judith Bird of Ridgway pulled out from the McDonalds exit at about 11:18am and struck the passenger’s side of a Lincoln MKC driven by Mary Lahman, westbound on Main Street. Witnesses reported the impact flipped Lahman’s SUV onto the drivers side and the vehicle slid several feet before finally rolling onto it’s roof. Lahman was taken via White County Ambulance to Hamilton Memorial Hospital complaining of neck pain. Her Lincoln was towed from the scene. It was determined Bird was at fault for failing to yield the right of way. Lahman is expected to recover.
