The Edwards County Fair is underway and runs through Saturday, July 27th. Over the weekend in Albion, new royalty was crowned for this year’s fair. Avery Roosevelt, an Albion product, was crowned and will move on to compete at the state county fair queen contest in January. Amber Garner of Bone Gap took runner up honors. The Roosevelt’s have made it a family tradition with Avery’s sister Taylor serving as Edwards County Fair Queen during the 2015 event.
Coming up this week at the Edwards County Fair, the Whippoorwill Rodeo will be Tuesday at 6:30, Go Kart Races will be held on Wednesday, Motocross is scheduled to take to the track on Thursday, and Friday the Tractor Pulls start at 6:30. Saturday night the Edwards County Fair draws to a close with the demolition derby, a remote control demo derby, and gospel night sing.
