An Electronic Recycling event comes to Carrier Mills this Saturday and isn’t limited to just residents. Anyone from the area is welcome to bring items so that electronics can be disposed of properly. The recycling event will be held at the Carrier Mills Municipal Building Parking Lot, located at 101 North Mill Street from 9am to noon or until the trailer is full.
It’s not legal to dispose of electronics in a landfill and anything that can be plugged in can be recycled. Console TV’s and Big Screens can be disposed of safely and legally at a cost of $10 each. Small screen TV’s, computer monitors, and small flat screens are $5 each. Due to recycling costs, vacuums, microwaves, printers, DVR’s, VCR’s and copiers now cost $1 each to be recycled.
