Grayville City Council will reconvene on Monday, July 8th for their next scheduled meeting. In comparison to agendas since Mayor Thompson was sworn in, a relatively short agenda is called for at this time. Among those items for consideration include potential movement on the purchase of a mini excavator. Jim Closson of Mattoon will make the trek south to visit with Grayville top brass. He represents Risk Management for the IMLRMA. Additionally, Grayville commissioners will consider the purchase of a by pass valve for the water tower and look at establishing a policy for non employees riding in city vehicles and equipment. We also expect the possibility of a promotion from within the Grayville Police Department to be announced. That meeting is coming up at 7pm from City Hall in Grayville.
