Andy Rubenacker has had his eye on 2021 for awhile now. Mr. Rubenacker, representing the Historical Society kicked off the Hamilton County Board meeting Tuesday evening in old business…really old business. Two years ago, Andy approached the County Board about the upcoming Bicentennial for the County’s incorporation.
He was in attendance Tuesday to urge one or more county board members to join the planning commission. Hamilton County will celebrate it’s official 200th birthday on February 8th of 2021. Rubenacker presented an early draft proposal for events to take place on Memorial Day weekend of 2021. At this point, he’s working to involve county and city board members and officials, members of the ministerial alliance, county and city clubs and businesses.
A meeting is coming up this evening at 7pm in the Hamilton County Courthouse basement and anyone is welcome to come learn more and/or get involved. Brad Miller, County Board Chairman, agreed to try to be in attendance.
