Bulldog Football Camp
While it may seem a little early in the year to be thinking about football, Carmi White County Athletic Director Kurt Simon announced Bulldog Football camp is coming up May 28 through the 30.
The camp will be held at the football practice field and is open to any boy entering grades 3 through 8th for the 2019/2020 school year. The sessions will run from 8:30 until 10 each morning. There is a $30 fee for the camp.
The camp will be conducted by the entire coaching staff of the Carmi White County football team. Participants will need shorts, shirts and cleats.
Simon said the goal of the camp is to “instruct and introduce each camper to the basic fundamentals of football. Each camper will receive instruction related to technique drills specific to each camper’s position, both offensively and defensively. The camp will also promote the importance of discipline, work ethic and healthy competition.”
Permission slips will have to be signed by parents or guardians and checks should be payable to Kurt Simon and mailed to Kurt Simon 721 County Road 1415 North, Carmi; 62821.
