Enfield Blue Ribbon 4-H earns Farm Credit Grant

Enfield Blue Ribbon 4-H Club Earns A Farm Credit Illinois Grant

Farm Credit Illinois recently awarded a community improvement grant in the amount of $500 to the Enfield Blue Ribbon 4-H Club of White County.

The club is using the grant funds to place benches at the J. L. Willis Park in Enfield. The club collected plastic for over two years and the benches should be delivered this summer. In addition, on April 27, during the National Day of Service, the club also cleaned the park, painted a portion of the fence, and painted and replaced the nets on the basketball goals.

The Enfield Blue Ribbon 4-H Club was one of 50 4-H clubs and FFA Chapters to receive a community improvement grant. In 2019, Farm Credit Illinois has awarded a total of $25,000 in grant funds to clubs and chapters making tangible contributions in their communities by implementing an improvement project.

The Enfield Blue Ribbon 4-H Club would like to thank Farm Credit Illinois for their generous grant toward this project, along with their continued support of 4-H.
