The investigation into what led to a head on collision Monday night resulting in the death of a mother and daughter from Norris City. Illinois State Police say the women, 67 year old Judith Egan and her daughter, 40 year old Michelle Egan were involved in the crash in the westbound lane of Illinois 141 just east of the Little Wabash River Bridge. Their Honda Accord collided head on with a GMC Yukon driven by 41 year old Robbie Darnell of Equality.
The impact caused both vehicles to leave the roadway. Darnell was transported by ambulance for treatment of injuries. The Egans were pronounced dead at the scene.
Darnell is being cited for No Valid Driver’s License, Improper Lane Usage, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
