Tea Parties This Week
It’s almost tea-time at the Robinson Stewart house.
Tea time is a special spring event held each year and sponsored by the White County Historical Society.
Every second grade classroom in White County is invited to the tea parties this week of April 22.
The gatherings will include a tour of the 1814 house and garden before sitting down in the parlor for a tea party. The students will also be treated to a presentation on English tea parties and manners.
It takes a large number of volunteers to make the event successful and anyone, man or woman, would like to sit at a table with four second grade students to serve tea, eat the snacks and talk with the children should contact Ranelle Hubele at 618-382-8586 to volunteer for one or more half day sessions.
