Carmi Police arrested an Enfield man on a hit and run charge Sunday, although the hit and run occurred Friday afternoon.

According to the police incident report, Johnny L. Bowles, 64, 318 W. North Street, Enfield is alleged to have struck a vehicle belonging to Jennifer Carter James, of Carmi, while it was in the parking lot behind Danny’s Pool Room.

Bowles was picked up Sunday evening and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. He posted bond of $150 and a $20 booking fee prior to be released from custody.

Saturday, local authorities arrested Daniel T. Ledbetter, 38, of MT. Vernon, Ind on a retail theft charge for alleged theft at Dollar General.
