Carmi White County School Board Meets Tonight
The Carmi White County Unit 5 School Board will meet in regular session at 7 p.m. tonight at the new building at Jefferson Attendance Center for what could be a busy meeting as there is a full agenda for the gathering.
There will be final action on some board policies; including powers and duties of the board of education; insurance management, transportation, sick days, vacations, holidays and leave of absence will be covered.
There will be a closed session to discuss personnel. The employment of a special education classroom aide and a junior high school special education teacher will likely be covered following the executive session, along with the reassignment of a teacher to the junior high school English language Arts department.
The superintendents report will be presented by Brad Lee.
Other business includes routine matters, such as paying the bills, etc.
