Power Line Downed
While details of the accident are not available at this time, a traffic crash resulted in a power line being downed late Friday night.
According to a traffic advisory released by the Carmi Police Department shortly after 11 Friday night, Main Street between Seventh and Ninth Street was closed for some time as crews dealt with downed power lines and poles across Main and College Bvld. College Blvd. was also closed at Main Street while crews cleaned up the mess.
Motorists were advised to steer clear of the area while the roadway was cleared and power was restored to the area.
WROY News expects to have further details on who was involved in the crash that took out the power pole later today.
