Despite the weather, the Fairfield Mules came to town and defeated the Carmi White County Bulldogs Friday night; 72 to 54.

The home game was senior night for the Bulldogs, who close out the regular season with the loss to the Mules.
Jason Craig and Chris Lucas covered the game for WROY/WRUL Sports.

Coach Kevin Wolff was disappointed in the loss but praised his team for their effort;

 

The Bulldogs will be in action Wednesday night in the Harrisburg Regionals. The locals will play fourth seeded Eldorado. The Bulldogs are sixth seed in the regional. Game time, 7 p.m. Pregame show will air around 6:45 or 6:50 Wednesday night with Jason Craig and Chris Lucas on the mics. That game can be heard on our sister station, WRUL 97.3 FM and available online at wrul.com

Norris City Omaha Enfield also lost their season closer against Thompsonville; 54 to 34. Brandon Skaggs led the Fighting Cardinals with seven points. Ty Money added six.

Tyson Kessler was the high scorer for Thompsonville with 19 points.

The Cardinals will be playing at the Wayne City Regionals tonight (mon) against Waltonville. The Spartans are seeded eighth while the Cardinals are a number nine seed. Tonight’s game will start around 7.
