Carmi Council Meeting Tuesday
There are only three items on the Carmi City Council meeting agenda, but those three items will likely take up most of the meeting.
The local council will meet at 5:30 Tuesday, with a budget and appropriation public hearing set for 5:15 that afternoon.
Keith Botsch of Botsch and Associates, the city’s accounting firm will update the aldermen and alderwoman on the annual appropriations for the city. That will cover the fiscal year beginning January 1 and continuing through Dec. 31 of this year.
Nathan Whetstone, doing business as Whetstone Oil LLC is on the agenda concerning an industrial development agreement.
City Electrical Consultant David Coston will address the board about Windfree solar, and a DG interconnection application, all related to a Carmi Manor solar application.
Other business before the Carmi council includes reports from the standing committees and Mayor Jeff Pollard, along with routine matters, such as approving vendor invoices, meeting minutes and other business or comments from visitors.
The city council normally meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. The meetings are open to the public.
