Wabash County Crash Sends One to Hospital
A two vehicle crash in Wabash county Monday evening sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries.
Donna K. Hedge, 66, Mt. Carmel was transported to Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel after she failed to stop at the intersection of Illinois Route One and Wabash County Road 1550 North and struck the side of semi-tractor-trailer. Hedge was cited for failure to yield at an intersection.
The driver of the semi, Blake D. Patton, 29 of Elizabethtown, Illinois was not injured in the crash.
Hedge’s vehicle was towed from the scene. Patton was able to drive the semi from the crash site.
Illinois State Police responded to the crash and were assisted at the scene by Wabash County Sheriff’s Department and Rick’s Towing.
