Productive Meeting For NCOE School Board

The NCOE Board of Education held their monthly meeting on Wednesday evening in the Superintendent’s office. The meeting was brief with a short agenda.

The minutes and the bills for the month were approved as presented.

During the Treasurer’s Report, Mr. Vollman stated that overall the funds were in good standing.

The FFA Alumni Benefit Auction will be this upcoming Saturday at Booth. The Board members were invited to attend.

The Board approved the firm bid for gasoline and diesel products from Heritage Petroleum from February 1, 2019 through January 31, 2020.

The Board approved volunteer coaching positions for Scott Riggs, high school baseball and 5th and 6th grade basketball; Heather Vollman, junior high volleyball; and Jack Johnson, high school basketball.

The Board accepted resignations from Melissa Steele, aide, and Erin Gulley, speech pathologist. With those resignations the Board hired Paitton Bowman, Booth aide.

The Board will be holding a special meeting on January 30 at 6:00 p.m. to accept bids for the summer electrical project at the high school.

On February 12, the high school is having a blood drive.

In other business the Board:

– Had the first reading of updated Board Policies.
