Cool Em Down Fundraiser
The White County Board approved the installation of air conditioning at the White County Animal Shelter Tuesday night, providing it didn’t cost the taxpayers any money.
With that in mind, Animal Control Officer Wayne Spicer and others have launched a fundraiser; Cool Em Down Fundraiser, in an effort to make sure taxpayers aren’t saddled with any cost.
The air conditioner was donated and the issue has been how to pay for an expected increase in electrical costs during the summer, when the A.C. is being used.
Money raised by the fund-raiser will be used to cover those costs.
