Grayville Police Committee Meeting
The City of Grayville Police Committee will meet in a special session this Thursday, January 3.
The special meeting will begin at 8 with Mayor Joe Bisch and Commissioners Jordan and Brock serving on the police committee. The meeting is mainly being held to discuss a request from White County, asking the City of Grayville to help cover the cost of dispatch services.
A request that did not sit well with Mayor Joe Bisch, who along with Norris City Mayor Roy Kissell and other village and city representatives, were in attendance at a White County Board meeting that addressed the dispatch cost request.
At that meeting, Bisch and Kissell indicated they were not happy with the request and Bisch indicated he might ask the Grayville commissioners to pursue other avenues concerning dispatch services; hinting using Edwards County instead of White County.
The committee meeting may also include a closed session to discuss personnel matters in the police department.
