Carmi Council Meeting Wednesday
Carmi City Council will hold the distinction of being the first meeting of the new year, as the council is scheduled to meet Wednesday evening.
Carmi Mayor Jeff Pollard had announced at an earlier meeting he would do his best to keep the agenda light. That came after the council agreed to move the meeting to Wednesday, January 2nd, as the normal meeting date would have fallen on New Year’s Day.
Pollard kept his promise and there is only one large item on the agenda. That is a renewal presentation to be presented by David Andreas concerning Mutual Medical Plans. If approved, Mutual Medical will serve as the city’s third party administrator for health insurance plans for Feb. 1, 2019 to Jan. 31, 2020.
Other items on the meeting agenda, include reports from the standing committees and reports and updates from Mayor Pollard.
The meeting will begin at 5:30. The Carmi council normally meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 5:30. The meetings are open to the public.
