Two Sentenced in White County Court

Two Sentenced in White County Court

Two White County residents were sentenced to prison in White County Circuit Court Monday, however one of the culprits is missing.

Julie K. Seitz, of Carmi, was sentenced to three years in a Department of Corrections facility and ordered to spend three years mandatory supervised release (parole) following her incarceration. However, Seitz was sentenced in absence, as she failed to show up to court to face the charges of deceptive practices, a class 4 felony. Seitz was also ordered to pay $5,072.34 in restitution by Judge T. Scott Webb, who also issued a warrant for her arrest.

Anyone with information as to Seitz’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact local authorities.

Seitz was defended by Public Defender Brian Shinkle. Denton Aud was the prosecuting attorney for White County.

Shinkle also represented Donald Terrel, 49, Crossville on a charge of unlawful failure to register as a sex offender, a class 3 felony. Terrell was sentenced to three and a half years in prison, with one year mandatory supervised release.

Webb also presided over the Terrell hearing and Aud was the prosecutor.
