Pecans Are Here
Holiday cooks and bakers will be glad to know the Carmi Public Library Pecan sales are underway.
It was announced late last week, the pecans have arrived and are now available. This is new pecans, just picked, as Mascot Pecan says; “picked, packed and shipped in seven days.”
Sixteen ounces of mammoth halves and 16 ounce halves and pieces are available for $12 each. There are also gift bags for $10 each. That includes roasted/salted pecans; roasted/salted cashews; chocolate covered pecans; cinnamon glazed pecans; glazed pecans and pecan/caramel clusters. Pecan logs and tins are available again this year.
This is the biggest and “yummiest” fundraiser for the Carmi Library. If you would like to help out, both the library and your baking needs for this holiday season, stop by the library and see a librarian about purchasing pecans…..or as they say in the South; Pee-cans.
