Do You Know Where Your Children Are Online
Today’s younger generation have mastered the use of digital devices in their daily lives and using social media apps in communicating with the world around them.
Technology can be both a good thing, and a bad thing. It can present new opportunities for youth, while at the same time challenging parents and teachers to keep youth healthy and safe.
With that in mind, Christine Feller, a cyber crime specialist with the High Tech Crimes Bureau of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office will be presenting a special program at Jefferson Attendance Center Thursday evening from 5:30 until about 7.
Feller will be discussing the topics of exploitation, cyber-bullying and sexting, in relation to technologies used by children. The program is open to parents, staff and community members who have an interest in the topics to be discussed.
Light refreshments and childcare will be provided.
Earlier request for reservations have been voided as there have been enough people sign up to hold the program. However, if you would like additional information, you may contact Leanett Lovell at 618-382-4661 or [email protected]
