Boil Orders for Several Areas
There are several boil orders around the area this morning, including West Salem, Broughton and a portion of the Wabash Water District.
A boil order is in effect once again for West Salem. The affected area is Southwest Street from Liberty to the end of West Street, going south.
The Village of Broughton water customers are also under a boil water order until further notice.
And due to a water main break, the Rural Wabash County Water District has issued a boil advisory until further notice for customers starting at 11582 North, 1800 Bvld, going west on 1800 Bvld to East 1100 RD.
All water customers in the affected areas are reminded they need to boil water for human consumption until further notice. All of the involved agencies apologized for the inconvenience and pointed out that as soon as water samples are cleared by the state, the boil orders would be lifted. That generally takes two to three days, sometimes less.
