ENFIELD VILLAGE BOARD
The board approved a bid of $7,286.93 for materials from Illini Asphalt Corporation in Benton, to pave the road from the intersection of Church and Birch Streets to Highway 45.
Several people have been cleaning up their properties in town, but many have not. The mayor will get in touch with the village attorney to draft citations for those residents who haven’t complied and take them to court if need be.
The park will be shut down for the winter soon.
The Rural Development Annual Water report for the period of April 30th of this year to April 29th of 2019.was approved.
Trick or Treat hours on Wednesday, October 31st will be from 4 to 8 PM.
Trunk or Treat will be on October 31st at the Masonic Lodge from 5 to 8 PM with a portion of the street closed off. They will be serving hot dogs and hot chocolate.
The Masonic Lodge annual car show is this Saturday, October 20th with registration from 8 AM to Noon and awards given out at approximately 3 PM.
Also this Saturday, is the annual fundraiser at the firehouse. There will be a biscuits and gravy breakfast from 6 to 10 AM and lunch will be served from 11 AM to 2 PM.
Again this year, all village employees will receive a $200 holiday bonus and will be given turkeys for Thanksgiving and hams for Christmas.
The board approved the usual donation for the yearbook ad they run every year.
A 25 minute executive session was held and afterwards it was decided to purchase a new laptop computer for the police department office.
Starting in November, all village board meetings will begin at 7 PM due to the return to Standard Time.
