Hamilton County Board Meets This Week
The Hamilton County Board will meet in regular session Tuesday evening to cover what appears to be a very full agenda.
While some of the agenda items will take little time, others will likely need discussion prior to approval.
The board will be reminded and a public invitation will be issued for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, when the Illinois Historical Society and Illinois Judges Association will present a portrait of President Abraham Lincoln to Hamilton County in celebration of the Illinois Bicentennial.
In meeting business; Dr. Beth Rister, regional superintendent of Schools will request the board approve Hamilton County’s portion of the Fiscal year 2019 budget in the amount of nearly $22,000 for the regional office, along with requesting close to $5500 for the first quarter of FY 19.
An insurance proposal will be presented to the board along with discussion on the county budget.
Hamilton County sheriff Robert Crow has several items to be presented to the board including a panic button installation update, US tracking contract and a report on the school resource officer.
The board will be asked to approve the appointment of Christina Wolfe to the Dahlgren IOOF Cemetery Board of Trustees.
The Blairsville Road project will also be discussed, along with several items involving payments or collections of monies to be paid to the county.
